After breakfast... Our Egyptologist guide will pick you up to start your program by visiting Saqqara (the necropolis of the Ancient Egyptians), a 30-minute drive away, to view the Step Pyramid of Zoser, the world's oldest large-scale stone monument. There you will learn why it was built. You'll enjoy lunch at a nice local restaurant, then proceed to visit the Great Pyramids of Giza. Firstly, you will see the largest pyramid of Khufu (Cheops), known as the Great Pyramid, is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the World that still survives. Next to the Great Pyramid are the pyramids of the son Chephren and the grandson Mycarinous. You'll be able to take a close-up look at the Sphinx, the legendary guardian that stands by the huge funeral complex with its lion body and the head of King Chephren. The tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, the place where the priests mummified the dead body of King Chephren, owner of the second pyramid. By end you will be taken back to your hotel.

After breakfast... Our Egyptologist guide will pick you up to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. You'll enjoy lunch at a nice local restaurant, then proceed to visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, which is situated on the summit of the Citadel of Salah El Din (constructed in 1183 AD). This Ottoman mosque is the largest to be built in the first half of the 19th century and the most visible mosque in Cairo. Continue driving to the area of Old Cairo; the first stop will be the Hanging Church, built in the 7th century. This old church takes its name from its location: sited above a gateway in the old Roman fortress. Admire the courtyard and interior with its screens, marble pulpit, and icons, and hear about its long history. Then proceed to visit Abu Serga Church, where the holy family is said to have found refuge. Then, take a look at the Ben Ezra Synagogue, once a Christian church. Then proceed to visit Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the most famous and oldest bazaars in the Middle East...then journey to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Luxor.
